Questions we get asked a lot
If yours is not here, call us — we would rather answer it than have you guess.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. You can book directly with us and we will assess you on the first visit.
Some insurance plans do require a referral for reimbursement, so it is worth checking your policy before your first appointment.
How long is an appointment?
Session lengths are listed on our services page — they range from 30 to 60 minutes.
The time is yours. We do not double-book, so you get the full session with your practitioner.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Your insurance card if you have one, any scans or reports you already have, and clothing you can move in. Arrive about 10 minutes early.
Can you bill my insurance directly?
In many cases, yes. We can bill these insurers directly:
Blue Cross Canada Life Desjardins Insurance Green Shield Canada Manulife Pacific Blue Cross Self pay / none Sun Life
Where direct billing is not available, we give you a receipt to submit yourself.
How many visits will I need?
We will tell you at the first appointment — usually a range, not a fixed number. It depends on how long the problem has been there and how you respond to treatment.
We review the plan as we go. If you are improving faster than expected, we will not keep booking you in.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to move or cancel an appointment, so we can offer the slot to someone else.
To change a booking, call the clinic or reply to your confirmation email.
Is my health information kept private?
Yes. Your records are stored in the clinic, and we do not share them without your consent.
When we email you a document, we send a private link that expires rather than attaching your health information to an ordinary email. See our privacy policy for the detail.
What if I am not sure what to book?
Book an assessment, or a consultation if you only want advice. We will tell you what we think you need — including if the answer is nothing.
Do you treat my specific problem?
We commonly see back and neck pain, shoulder and knee problems, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and long-standing pain that has not settled.
If it is outside what we treat, we will refer you on rather than take your money for sessions that will not help.
